💡 THE ROLE (IN PLAIN ENGLISH)

We’re looking for a brilliant SENCO to lead and champion inclusive practice across the nursery.

This isn’t your average SENCO role.

You’ll be:
✔️ Hands-on with children
✔️ Supporting and coaching your team
✔️ Making a real, visible difference every single day

You’ll be responsible for:

• 🌈 Leading SEND provision across the nursery

• 🧠 Supporting children with additional needs to thrive

• 👩‍🏫 Coaching practitioners on inclusive practice

• 🤝 Building strong relationships with families

• 📞 Working with external professionals (health visitors, LA, specialists)

• 📝 Managing support plans, observations, and next steps

• ✅ Keeping documentation accurate and compliant

✔️ Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
✔️ SENCO qualification (desired or willing to undertake training)
✔️ Strong understanding of EYFS & SEND

You are:

✨ Organised and able to manage multiple priorities

☕ 7:50am – Arrive, coffee, team catch-up
👶 8:30am – Support children and check in on key needs
🔍 9:30am – Observe, assess, guide staff
👨‍👩‍👧 10:30am – Parent meeting
📝 11:30am – Update plans and records
🍴 12:00pm – LUNCH
📞 12:30pm – Liaise with professionals / referrals
👩‍🏫 1:30pm – Support practice in rooms
📊 3:00pm – Review progress and next steps and IEP’s
📋 4:30pm – Team check-in
🏡 6:02pm – Head home!
